When a customer makes a purchase as a gift, you can send a gift memo to the recipient, containing an announcement of the gift and a message from the gift donor. Because the memo contains the tracking number for the shipment, itʼs appropriate to send it after the shipping label has been printed, along with the sales receipt for the gift giver.
To send gift memos:
In the Transaction list, select the gift transactions.
From the Actions menu, choose Sales Gift Memo : Email : Send.
The gift memo includes the Gift Message text copied from the donorʼs Customer record when the transaction was created.
To print a gift memo:
In the Transaction list, select the gift transaction.
From the Actions menu, choose Sales Gift Memo : Print.
Tip: The gift memo information fits well on an Avery 5398-format card. You can prepare a supply of these cards for printing Λctiv8 gift notes by downloading the Word template for this form (from the Avery web site) and adding your own logo and boilerplate text.
