Scheduling package pickups

Shippers often offer automated services through which you can notify them when you have outgoing packages ready for pickup. Manager can work with the UPS Smart Pickup service, or print a shipping manifest for a FedEx End of Day pickup.

UPS Smart Pickup

If you use the UPS Smart Pickup service, you can schedule a pickup directly from Managerʼs Transaction list.

To schedule a Smart Pickup:

  1. In the Transaction list, select the transactions with packages to be shipped.

  2. From the Actions menu, choose Shipment : UPS Smart Pickup : Schedule Smart Pickup. Manager verifies that the shipping label has been printed.

  3. In the UPS Smart Pickup dialog, enter the Pickup Date, Ready Time, and Close Time (after which you will not be available).

Once UPS has picked up the package, the release number is removed.

To cancel a Smart Pickup:

  1. In the Transaction list, select the transactions whose shipments are to be canceled.

  2. From the Actions menu, choose Shipment : UPS Smart Pickup : Cancel Smart Pickup.

  3. In the UPS Cancel Smart Pickup dialog, select the packages you want to cancel.

  4. Click OK.

FedEx End of Day

For shipments via FedEx, you can print a manifest to present to the driver on pickup.

To print a FedEx shipping manifest:

  1. In the Transaction list, select the transactions with packages to be shipped.

  2. From the Actions menu, choose Shipment : FedEx End of Day.

Manager sends the document to your printer.
