Club sales

Much of your clubʼs activity will involve shipping (or boxing up for members to pick up) a selection of merchandise that you have already defined as a package. Each package definition includes the contents to be shipped, the weight and dimensions of the container(s), and all the rules that will calculate taxes, shipping and handling costs, and discounts. To send one of these packages as a regular club release, you can simply select the active membersʼ names from the Customer list and select the packageʼs name; Manager creates a new set of transactions based on this definition.

For a customer choice club, instead of a club package, you can create a batch of sales orders from the customersʼ selection profiles. In this case, Manager will use its empty box package definitions for packing and shipping.

Once youʼve created the transactions, you can proceed to charge the membersʼ credit cards, print labels and ship the packages, and send sales receipts.

Club sales from packages

To create transactions from a club package:

Create Transaction from Package

  2. If your release involves multiple clubs or club types (for example, “Reds” and ”Whites”), you must process each of them in a separate operation.

  3. Select all the records (Edit : Select All, Ctrl‑A, or click the Select All icon).

  4. From the Actions menu, choose Create Transaction : Sales Order from Package.

  5. In the Create Transaction dialog, choose the correct package from the lookup list.

  6. From the Select Membership drop-down list, choose which club to associate with the sale.

  7. Ignore Association: Disables checking to ensure that the customer is in fact a member of the specified club.

  8. You can change the delivery method for the selected sales by choosing an option under Create Transaction Options.

  4. Create Transaction from Package

  5. In the Create Transaction dialog, choose a Selection Type from the list.

  6. From the Select Membership drop-down list, choose which club to associate with the sale.

  7. Ignore Association disables checking to ensure that the customer is in fact a member of the specified club.

  8. You can change the delivery method for the selected sales by choosing an option under Create Transaction Options.

Deleting pending selections

Delete Pending Selections switch

When you create transactions from customer selections, the Delete Pending Selections option instructs Manager to remove the selections once theyʼve been used.

Delete pending selections warning dialog

When you check this box, youʼll see an alert dialog, warning you that these selections will be removed automatically when youʼve finished creating transactions. You may prefer to leave this box unchecked, so that pending selections are available for reuse — for example, in case you need to re-create transactions in case of an error. You can remove unneeded selections manually by deleting them from the Customer Selection list.

Monitoring your progress

When you click OK, Manager runs the “Batch Sales Order” or “Batch Sales Selection” job and begins creating transactions for the sales orders youʼve requested. To monitor the robotʼs progress, open the Transaction list and choose Order Detail from the View menu.
