When a club member wishes to stop receiving club shipments temporarily, you can suspend the membership by placing it 'On Hold.'
To place a member on hold:
In the Customer list, locate the member you want to suspend and open the record in the Customer – Data Entry dialog.
On the Membership tabs, locate the correct club.
Check the box in the Suspend Date field and select the date when the membership goes on hold.
If you know when the membership is to return to active status, enter the Restart Date.
The daily Suspensions job sets the membership status to 'On Hold' after the Suspend Date has passed. After the Restart Date, the On Hold Analysis job resets it to 'Active.' You can resume a suspended membership at any time simply by setting the Restart Date to the current date. (Important: Remember to clear the Suspend Date check box.) To cancel a membership completely, you can set its status to 'Inactive.'
Note: If you discover that a customerʼs membership has been set to 'On Hold' unexpectedly, make sure the Customer record doesnʼt contain a Suspend Date that has passed.
Manager uses the daily scheduled jobs “Process to check membership expiration” and “Process to check membership suspensions” to send you regular e-mail reports of those whose memberships became 'Inactive' or 'On Hold' each day.
