Stock level and movement data

Inventory can move from one location to another as the result of a retail sales transaction, return, or exchange; or through an inventory transaction, including one that Manager creates automatically from a change in stock levels. Manager records each move twice: as an “outgoing” transfer at one location and an “incoming” transfer at another. As it moves, an itemʼs status at each location progresses from 'On Hand' through 'Allocated' and 'On Order' to 'Available'. It can be helpful to see all this data in tabular form, for example when troubleshooting stock movement errors.

Manager maintains this information in the Inventory and Inventory Stock lists, where you can display it with a set of views that summarize the data in various ways.
